We are the first company in South East Asia who adopted the Dutch mushroom growing technology using “environmental control”. Champ Fungi was established in 2003 by our founder Tony Kampen with a farm cultivating of Agaricus bisporus (white, brown & Portobello mushroom). The farm is located in Telok Gong, Port Klang, about an hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. The farm has grown rapidly and today we are producing about 2mil metric ton of mushrooms a year, employing about 300 staff including professional mushroom growers. All these are possible through our growing technology, proper strain selection, post harvest management which include packaging and cold chain. Today we are exporting mushrooms and other fresh produce to countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong & Thailand. We have since grown and have added new product such as Oriental mushroom (in cooperation with our Korean partners, Green Co.) and the establishment of our own sales & distribution companies. |

The origins of Fazer Group lie in a family company founded in 1891 when Karl Fazer opened his first café in Helsinki. Today Fazer offers meals and bakery and confectionery products, and operates in eight countries. The blue colour was an important symbol for Karl Fazer, reflecting Finland’s many lakes and the country’s independence. Today this blue colour is equally important for the product. In the spring of 2001 Fazer Blue become Finland’s first registered colour trademark. This means that Fazer in Finland has the sole right to sell chocolate products in the well-known blue wrapping.
